Waterbrook Columbia Valley Sangiovese Rosé 2007
The Columbia Valley is one of my favorite wine-growing regions. A high latitude yields long, sunny summer days and cool nights that coax rich, ripe flavors from a wide variety of European grapes, including Sangiovese.
Waterbrook Columbia Valley Sangiovese Rosé pours cranberry-pink with a delicate raspberry and red fruit nose. A crisp, off-dry palate of strawberries and watermelon is balanced by a long and slightly bitter finish. This wine is a good value at $12. 3 Andy Points.
